About the Opportunity:
As Mine Operator, Mastermyne is ramping up to a three-development panel operation at Cook Colliery Mine. Our team are playing an important role in hitting production targets and building a team with a unique and positive safety culture that resonates The Mastermyne Way.
About the role:
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager (MEM) on site, you will work as part of a close, site-based management team. To undertake this work successfully, we need a skilled and qualified Conveyor Engineer with specialist underground coal experience in conveyor systems including installations, relocations and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in a similar role with a focus on underground coal conveyor works;
- Projects are planned, managed and delivered within agreed timeframes and budgets;
- Reports are completed, analysed and delivered in agreed timeframes;
- Review / conduct hazard and risk assessments and communicate to all persons working;
- Actively promote and participate in mine safety among the workforce;
- Ensure activities are aligned to planned schedule;
- Identify potential improvements to the process & action;
- Coaching and mentoring team members;
- Provide leadership to crew members assisting with conveyor works;
- Mechanical Trade Certificate desirable;
- Mining Supervisory Certificates (G189/G2) mandatory;
- Coal Board Medical / Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
