About Mt Arthur Coal

Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced trade qualified Heavy Mobile Equipment trades, Mechanical Plant mechanics and HV Electricians to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing preventive, reactive, and planned maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability.

These are residential based roles on a 5:4 24/7 roster located in Muswellbrook, NSW.

In this role you will be required to:

• Undertake preventative maintenance inspections
• Repair & service graders, 994 loaders , mechanical and electric drive ultraclass and much more
• 1SAP experience
• HME experience
• Fault find equipment in breakdowns

About You

• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
• Experience working in a similar role with exposure to maintenance work
• Experience with mining/ environments (preferred)
• Ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team
• Ability to confidently make decisions relating to your work, or escalate if needed
• Adaptable and responsive to change, as well as learning new information
• Hold the specific trade qualification
• Minimum C class driver's license
• Liebherr or Cat experience desirable
