The Opportunity
Reporting to the People Lead and working as part of a close-knit HR team, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad HR portfolio providing support to our project teams across QLD and NSW. Working in partnership with each Project’s leadership team, you will provide practical HR solutions in regards to general advisory matters and take ownership of assigned projects at different stages of their lifecycle. In ensuring our Project Teams have the skills to best lead their people, you will be involved in the delivery of HR related training and will work closely with the People Lead to champion business goals, ensuring they are supported and lived by our operational teams.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a tenacious self-starter who enjoys taking ownership within an ever-changing and challenging environment. You will be solutions-focused, be able to prioritise and organise your time efficiently, have a high attention to detail and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your ability to build relationships, work in partnerships and influence outcomes will be critical for success in the role.
Minimum skills required to succeed in our HR Advisor role:
- Prior experience working on a mine operation desirable;
- Ability to build strong relationships with operational teams;
- Experience with implementing various policy and frameworks;
- Problem solving orientation;
- Knowledge of Industrial Legislation and ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
- Exceptional organisation to juggle conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations;
- Sound financial acumen;
- An understanding of the impact of HR decisions on wider business operations;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with high attention to detail;
- Act intuitively; show initiative and act responsively;
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources plus a minimum of 4 to 5 years post qualification experience.
