About the Opportunity:
As Mine Operator, Mastermyne is ramping up to a three development panel operation at Cook Colliery Mine. Our team are playing an important role in hitting production targets and building a team with a unique and positive safety culture that resonates The Mastermyne Way.
About the role:
Reporting to the HSEC Training Manager on site, you will work as part of a close, site-based management team. To undertake this work successfully, we need a skilled and qualified HSEC Training Coordinator to provide underground coal operational training, coaching and development to Mastermyne employees and contractors in our operations in line with current Health and Safety Management systems and the relevant State legislation.
Minimum skills and expectations for the HSEC/Training Coordinator:
- Drive the development and implementation of proactive frontline HSEC strategies and initiatives in consultation with site management representatives;
- Analyse HSEC performance and drive a HSEC culture by developing frontline leaders in HSEC leadership and the ownership of HSEC responsibilities across the operation;
- Coordinate the site HSEC / Training team activities to ensure the team remains on task and focussed on meeting all legislative, and Mastermyne HSEC requirements;
- Implement and review the operation Risk Register and Safety Health Management System (SHMS) to maintain alignment with critical risks and HSEC Management. This role has a reporting line to the on-site SSE as part of the contractor operation and the GM HSEC for corporate requirements;
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- A Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification preferred
- The ability to utilise investigative and audit tools and processes;
- Underground coal mining experience;
- An in-depth understanding of Coal legislation and standards;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Right to work in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Certificate)
