Resources is ramping up and we’re now commencing our recruitment for Inexperienced Fitters and Electricians to join our growing workforce and provide an opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.

Our Inexperienced Program:

Mastermyne’s Inexperienced Program has introduced over 650 people to Underground Coal Mining across our QLD and NSW operations. Our program is the stepping stone to a career with endless opportunities for growth. It offers people who are inexperienced to Underground Coal Mining the opportunity to undertake hands-on training before commencing on site. By partnering with our RTO MyneSight, we can deliver skills training and work readiness in a simulated Underground Mine environment.

Minimum skills and experience required:

  • A genuine interest in working for Mastermyne in an underground coal mine;
  • Labour intensive work history such as trade qualified backgrounds, agriculture, labouring and/or construction;
  • Mechanical trade qualifications mandatory for fitter roles;
  • Electrical trade qualifications mandatory for electrician roles;
  • Strong focus and commitment on team work and safe work behaviours;
  • Adaptable to changing industry conditions;
  • Willingness to participate in appropriate training to prepare you to be site-ready;
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.

What’s the next step:

Once you have completed the online application, our Recruitment Team will work with our site management team to shortlist applicants.  Successful candidates will receive an invitation to attend a Recruitment Day held in Mackay on Friday 6 January 2023 where you will participate in a one-on-one interview and team-based assessments.
