About the Opportunity

This role will report to our Technical Services Manager on site and provide scheduling and planning support to our project, located in the Bowen Basin QLD.  Our preference is always to live local to the project you work in and there’s benefits available to incentivise those who live in, or would like to relocate to the beautiful Central Highlands

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Mining Engineer to join this successful team at this critical project. This role will be responsible for assisting with planning and scheduling scopes of works for a major underground coal mine.

About the person:

We are looking for a self-starter with the following:

  • Exposure to planning and scheduling with a preferred background in mining;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
  • An appetite for numbers and data;
  • Attention to detail and sound logistical thinking;
  • Ability to read & interpret plans;
  • Competency using a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Prior experience with mine design and scheduling software;
  • Tertiary Qualification - Mining Engineer;
  • Demonstrated Post-Graduate Experience;
  • Drivers’ Licence.
