MyneSight is part of Metarock Group Limited.
Metarock is an ASX listed public company and the parent company of Mastermyne (Underground Coal Mining) and Pybar Mining Services (Underground Hard Rock Mining). With a combined workforce of more than 2000 employees operating across the East Coast of Australia and in parts of Western Australia, we’ve maintained a strong footprint for over 20 years providing contract mining services to coal and metalliferous clients.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #31900), MyneSight delivers accredited training and consulting services to the resources, ports, industrial and public sectors. Well established in QLD since 2008, MyneSight has secured a facility in Wollongong, as a base to deliver recently secured training contracts in NSW and to further expand its offerings across the East Coast of Australia. The appointment of a QLD Operations Manager will oversee the delivery of existing contracts, leverage off the existing client base of Mastermyne and Pybar Mining Services in Queensland and other markets to grow the whole MyneSight business.
About the Opportunity:
To succeed in this role, you will have an authentic belief in the value of learning and the important part it plays in optimising business compliance and performance. The QLD Operations Manager is responsible for the financial performance, quality standards and for executing the growth strategy with a whole of business focus, as developed in conjunction with the MyneSight General Manager (based in QLD), to whom you report.
About you:
You will have strong business acumen and multi-years’ experience in a client focused services business. This hands-on role is fully accountable for managing the day to day operations and providing hands-on leadership to our Queensland trainers and operational team whilst working with our NSW Operations Manager and team in Wollongong as well as our Compliance Manager and supporting team members. Through your entrepreneurial flair and can-do attitude, you’ll identify potential and emerging consulting and training opportunities that offer solutions and add value to our client’s businesses.
Key skills and experience required:
- Demonstrated evidence of:
- growing a client focus services business;
- maintaining full P&L accountability with a profitable business or division;
- interpreting legislation and developing a working understanding of it;
- maintaining quality standards that satisfy internal and external audits;
- maintaining and growing a client base;
- establishing critical stakeholder relationships (internal and with external parties such as governing agencies, JV partners etc.);
- bringing to life transformative, creative ideas, products or services;
- providing strong, positive leadership to a growing team.
- Experience within the RTO/training sector would be highly desirable.
