About the Opportunity:

Our Cook Colliery mine operation is full steam ahead hitting “first coal” in February this year and about to mobilise a second development unit in the coming months. At it’s peak we’ll run three (3) development panels with a workforce of 180 people strong. This role will report to our Technical Services Manager on site and provide supervision support to our growing underground mine operation.

About the Role:

Our project technical staff are the backbone to our operations and getting the right people onboard is critical to our success. Our engineers lead from the front, are forward-thinkers and enjoy diversity in their working week as they juggle the multiple priorities and expectations that come with working on a busy, productive mine site.

Minimum skills and attributes we seek for a Planner/Scheduler:

• Providing scheduling and planning support, influence and coaching to ensure effective weekly targets are agreed, scheduled and communicated effectively;
• Capturing all delays and reporting these to the Technical Services Superintendent via planning meetings, daily huddles and via weekly reports;
• Have good time management skills, be a self-starter and self-managing;
• Be prepared to undertake training or evaluation as required;
• Have good communication and team skills;
• Have a desire to grow and learn new skills in a great team;
• Mining Engineer Qualification desirable;
• Experience in a similar role with a focus on Underground Mining Coal works;
• Experience with Microsoft Project and strong knowledge of Excel.
