About Mount Athur Coal

Mount Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Roles    

Mount Arthur Coal is looking to build our talent pool of experienced and safety-focused Production Operators for upcoming opportunities.

You will be based in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, with these opportunities being offered on a residential basis working a four panel, even time 5/4 day/night roster. As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety at all times.

  About You     

Experience operating CAT 789, 793, Liebherr T282, or other equivalent sized haul trucks is required. 

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Overriding commitment to safety and BHP Charter Values
  • Dedicated and enthusiastic
  • Work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Keen to learn and a willingness for self-improvement
  • Able to work to deadlines and remain focused under pressure
  • Effective listener and have well developed interpersonal skills
  • Minimum C class Driver’s Licence 

  Candidates with current site experience and exposure, along with those that are suitably qualified as Trainer Assessors, are encouraged to apply.
