Job Description

Reporting to the Projects Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of critical Capital Expenditure projects across the site to support the mine progression and ongoing performance of the Operation into future.

About the Role

  • Coordinate and Supervise teams of +10 multi-disciplined contractors across the civil, mechanical, electrical, and fixed infrastructure disciplines.

  • Provide guidance and oversight of the day-to-day execution activities of multiple contractors ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Monitor and manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and contractual obligations.

  • Plan and lead pre-start communications (HCOM), toolbox talks and site safety initiatives.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements to achieve project objectives and deliver successful outcomes.

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and constraints to minimise impacts on safety, cost, quality, and schedule.

  • Develop and review project scopes of work, cost estimates, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, progress updates, and completion records in accordance with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular project updates and facilitating informed decision-making.

  • Analyse complex issues and implement practical solutions to achieve project and operational objectives.

  • Demonstrate visible leadership in the field by providing advice, coaching, and support to employees and contractors, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Roster and Location

  • 4 Day Working Week – Monday to Thursday, Tuesday to Friday rotating

  • Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience supervising large scale multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver project outcomes and objectives in the mining, construction or heavy industries.

  • Strong commitment to safety, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders on site

  • High level leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations to the team through clear and concise communication

  • Proven track record in fostering a collaborative work environment through building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Keen eye for detail and a "can do" attitude

  • Proven track record of supervision experience in a mining or related environment

  • Ability to manage diverse contractor labour in a dynamic, fast paced and multi-disciplined environment

  • Passion for project delivery across a variety of construction and engineering projects including fixed infrastructure, civil construction, MIA facilities, In-pit facilities, water management, electrical infrastructure.

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Trade qualification and/or experience in Electrical projects and installations,

  • Occupational technology including wireless and communications projects and installations,

  • Fixed infrastructure construction projects including buildings, services and foundations,

  • Civil construction and bulk earthworks projects, including dams, drains, roads and foundation preparations, and/or rail construction and reconstruction projects, including tracks, foundations and train loading facilities.
