About the Company:

About the Opportunity:
Play a critical role in driving strong and reliable health and safety outcomes as part of the Safety team that is strongly embedded in operations and well supported and endorsed by Senior Leadership. Reporting through to the Mastermyne General Manager HSEC, you will partner with multiple Operational and Corporate teams to deliver the following outcomes:
- Proactively drive company safety policies, practices and procedures to sustain compliance with Safety Management Plans, Systems and Legalisation;
- Provide coaching and guidance to site-based Project Managers and Project Safety Coordinators to grow safety leadership and know-how;
- Undertake, coordinate and prepare internal and external audits;
- Investigate serious incidents and report findings to management;
- Identify and manage health and safety risk;
- Identify and deliver improvements to improve safety outcomes for our people;
About the Person:
- Strong underground coal mining safety/operational background;
- Experience in a safety leadership position in a mining contracting business;
- Ability to build relationships, challenge and influence across different levels of our business and with broader stakeholders (including clients);
- Ability to progress multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, high-pressure environment;
- Ability to present subject matter information with energy, confidence and clarity;
- Strong intuition to identify risks and hazards and take action to mitigate;
- Solid working knowledge of HSE legislation;
- Proven high level of integrity and confidentiality in daily work ethic.
