About the Role
Reporting to the Manager CHPP & Infrastructure, you will lead a diverse group of professionals and operational to deliver all aspects of processing operations from ROM to Export, process quality and coal and tailings handling at Mt Arthur.
This is an exceptional opportunity to continue to develop in a key leadership role, provide coaching and interact with multiple levels of the business to deliver on organisational strategy.
This is role will be based at Muswellbrook working Monday to Friday, offering flexible working arrangements to enjoy the stunning Hunter Valley region, and is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, supportive and inclusive team.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety by actively engaging in the BHP Field Leadership program
- Effectively manage breakdown maintenance and ensure down-time is minimised
- Promote and coach operational discipline and high performance in work execution and enhance the technical knowledge of team members
- Ensuring all teams follow our safety systems and procedures and coach and mentor all teams through appropriate field leadership
- Champion BOS principles with all teams and driving improvement in all areas
- Provide inputs into plans, budgets, and targets for the department and ensure delivery against them
- Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
About You
- Tertiary qualified or relevant maintenance, mining, technical, manufacturing or production experience
- Experience with CHPP and mine production is highly beneficial
- Experience in leadership roles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- A proven track record in safety management
- Demonstrated success building cohesive and effective teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solution-focused with the ability to work well under pressure
- Deep foundational leadership which supports team growth and development
- A continuous improvement mindset
