Hitting first coal in February 2022 was a huge milestone for our Mastermyne Coal Operations and we’re continuing to build our Cook Colliery project team to unleash our third development unit in February this year. About the role:
Reporting to the HSEC Training Manager on site, you will work as part of a close, site-based management team. To undertake this work successfully, we need a skilled and qualified Training Coordinator to provide underground coal operational training, coaching and development to Mastermyne employees and contractors in our operations in line with current Health and Safety Management systems and the relevant State legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of best practice operating standards to ensure currency and consistency at site to Mastermyne’s operating and safety systems;
- Legislative and Safety Health Management Systems maintained and audited on;
- Demonstrate effective risk management skills and the implementation of proactive strategies for improvement;
- High visibility in Operations and engagement with work teams in accordance with agreed targets;
- Reports and actions are completed, analysed and delivered in agreed timeframes;
- Training is delivered in a timely manner and is in accordance with legislative requirements;
- Training records are maintained and current;
- Training material collated, developed and presented.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum five (5) years working in an underground coal mine;
- Effective leadership style and time management;
- Uncompromising commitment to health, safety, environment and quality;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher;
- G2 Certificate in Risk Management Training desirable;
- Current First Aid Certificate.
