About the opportunity:
Mastermyne’s mine operations in the Central Highlands Region is seeking a highly experienced Underground Mine Manager to join our senior leadership team.

Minimum skills and attributes we seek for an Underground Mine Manager (UMM):
- Leadership of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards across the underground coal operation;
- Management and control of underground mining operations;
- Ensure that mining activities and expenditures are maintained in line with agreed strategies, priorities, programs and budgets;
- Manage production activities through development of accurate schedules and other relevant information within required timeframes;
- Ensure accurate records and information systems for mining data is maintained and audited to a high standard;
- Manage, mentor and coordination of the operations team, ensuring they are properly trained and competent;
- Provide technical and operational support, assistance and advice as required;
- Liaise with the Mastermyne leadership team to ensure that safety, business and production targets are achieved across the operation;
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on mining activities as required;
- Prepare and undertake presentations to SSE/GM and Mastermyne executive management in respect of mining related activities;
- QLD First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency;
- G3 Certificate - Establish and maintain the risk management system (RIIRIS601D);
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent;
- Previous experience as an Underground Mining Manager;
- Over 10 years of underground coal mining operational experience;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills;
- Current Driver’s Licence.
